Business Challenge:

Requirements from client :
1. OrderPort POS should provide point-of-sale capabilities on the iPad for sales at winery tasting rooms.
2. It needs to work with MagTek iDynamo MFi hardware credit card swiper for rapid and secure customer transactions.
3. It needs to be integrated with OrderPort's complete commerce solution which includes web site, web commerce, mobile commerce, inventory management and wine club administration.
4. All available item categories needs to be shown and user can add any item from those to the cart. Cart needs to display all added items with their price, quantity, and the total order cost.
5. User should select shipping facilities available for his state and those shipping charges needs to be added with total order cost. Also app should calculate sales tax for the ordered items depending upon customer's state pin code.
6. On payment screen it needs to show current order details on the left and custom keypad for entering amount to be paid. User should have paying options as by cash, credit card, check or by gift card. In case user pays with credit card then credit card swiper needs to be used. In case user pays with check then the check details should be provided as bank name, account number and check number.
7. With completing order checkout with paying total cash for the order cost user should also be able to make partial payment for his order and the remaining amount later while checkout. Partial payments should work with credit card and cash payments.
8. App needs to provide refund of cash in case user cancels some paid items while checkout. Refund should support both cash and credit card payments done while partial payments or checkout made.
9. It should generate order receipts and receipt needs to be printed using Star Micronics Printer using Wi-Fi connectivity, also this receipt should get sent to customer's mail id.
10. The app needs to communicate with cash drawer connected with printer for opening cash drawer in case customer made cash payment and clerk needs to give change back to customer.
11. It should provide peripheral access to the iPad 2's integrated camera.
12. Customer accounts needs to created for first time only and later app should use stored info for those customers.
13. Customer profiles needs to be displayed and user should update profile of any customer as per the status.
14. Customer account info needs to be displayed and can be updated any time from the account page, also customer's past order history needs to be shown on the same account page for future references.
15. There should be facility through which customer's could join any wine club from the available wine clubs.
16. App should display reports for the past sales made by clerk's and also opening and closing cash for the past days, clerk should update opening and closing cash status for the current day.

Software Solution:

The Application should be created and delivered as an end product.
The source code of the project shall also be delivered.

Features:

We, Spymek Software , have designed this application in such a way that it should not be oversize and also all functionality should be covered.

As this application is made in such way that it can be used with different clients by just adding their data to the server database. And upon logging with any client will fetch/upload related info to that client only and won't affect any other clients system.

Once user made client1 login then the allowed clerk will login into clerk login window for that client.

Clerks can create orders for new customers and also can create orders for old customers too using their past saved account details.
Once order gets started customer can see different available categories with list of items available for buy. Customer can add any of these items to the cart with quantities they want. Cart shows ordered items description, price, quanity etc with total order cost.
Clerk moves to payment screen and here order receipt is shown on to the left and on right custom digit pad shown for entering paying amount by customer, clerk can see how much amount customer paid and change to give back in case customer pays extra or remaining amount.
Customer can select any shipping method available for his address, applying ship charges to the order cost.
Sales tax calculated for order depending upon customers state pin code.

Customer can pay with cash, credit card, check or gift card. Credit card uses Magtek iDynamo MFi hardware credit card swiper for swiping credit card to pay.

Customer can make partial payment also in case he still wants to continue shopping.

Refund is made in case customer wants to cancel some items from the items and have already paid for them.

Order receipt printed through Star Micronics printer connected with Wi-Fi, and also sent to customer's mail id.

Clerk can see customer's account details and his past order history.
Clerk can search customers by their last names and see their account details, can make changes in their account info., can capture customer's picture and save it to their profile using iPad's camera.

Customer can join any available wine club for yearly subscription. Once customer joins wine club then on further orders made by him will add 10% discount for all his wine buy.

Clerk can update opening day cash and closing day cash for checking days sale made. Also reports generated for working days as inventory available by that day and cash available in the cash drawer.
Clerk can update inventory and cash in the drawer anytime.
Manager can see weekly sales report on report page in which we have shown, sales made by different clerks, orders closed for the day.

The application has been completed and tested successfully and available on 'iPhone App Store'.
